Everything you need to know about our dog waste removal services, pricing, and scheduling.
Do I need prior experience to become a Poop Away™ franchisee?
Prior business experience and experience in waste removal is helpful but not necessary. We are looking for people who are passionate and energetic with a desire to succeed. Ideal candidates are people with the entrepreneurial spirit who believe in hard work.
Where should I locate my business?
We will discuss available territories with individuals interested in potentially becoming a Poop Away™ franchisee. We will work with our franchisees to help select a location for their franchise operation.
Do I need an office for my Poop Away™ franchise?
No. You can run your franchise as a home-based business. You need a reliable vehicle and some basic tools associated with removal of unwanted materials from lawns and property.
Do you service large yards and multiple dogs?
Yes! No yard is too small or too big for our team, and we regularly service homes with multiple dogs. Pricing may vary depending on the size of the property and the number of dogs.
What if it rains or the weather is bad?
We provide year-round service, but severe weather or unsafe conditions may require us to reschedule or cancel a visit. If weather affects your scheduled service, we’ll adjust the appointment accordingly.
Is your service safe for pets?
Yes. Keeping your yard free of accumulated dog waste can help reduce exposure to parasites and diseases such as parvo, whipworms, hookworms, roundworms, giardia, and coccidia. For everyone’s safety, customers should let us know about aggressive pets or other potential hazards before a visit.
How often do you provide service?
We offer year-round pet waste removal based on your needs. You can choose daily, weekly, monthly, or another schedule that works best for you. Our flexible service means you can pause, change, skip, or cancel whenever needed.
Do I need to be home during the visit?
No, you don’t need to be home. As long as our technician has safe access to your yard and any gates are accessible, we can complete the cleanup while you’re away. Customers also report receiving notifications when technicians are on the way and when the service is complete.
What happens to the dog waste after cleanup?
We haul the dog waste away with us at no additional charge. Proper removal helps keep waste from accumulating in your yard, where it can contribute to bacteria, parasites, pests, and other health concerns.
How will I market my franchise?
We have developed strong and effective marketing strategies to help you promote your business. We have experience with what types of campaigns (including social media) may be helpful and we will share our strategies with our franchisees.
How does a Poop Away™ franchise differ from other business opportunities?
Investigating a franchising opportunity is a big step. There’s lots to consider. What sets us apart for starters is that the cost of entry is much lower than many other opportunities. There is no need for an office or other expensive inventory. An owner operator can start with one or two people and therefore have lower start-up costs. It’s easy to learn and you have the support of our franchising team to help you get started.
What do I do next?
Please take a few minutes and complete the information on the “Preliminary Information Questionnaire” which you will find in this document. We will review it and, if it looks like we would be a good fit together, will contact you to set up a meeting. Thank you very much for reviewing our franchising information!
